2. Data Collection and Permissions

Lead Finder is designed with privacy-first principles. We do not track your browsing history, and we do not collect or sell your personal information.

To function efficiently and transparently, the extension utilizes the following core Chrome permissions:

• Broad Host Permissions (All URLs): Required because the extension is dynamically designed to discover and extract B2B contact information from any industry website, business directory, or social search platform you choose to browse. Sourcing occurs organically across thousands of disparate domains globally.
• webRequest: Required to securely listen to and intercept native JSON API responses on your active tab natively. This allows the extension to capture rich prospect data silently in the background without needing heavy, obtrusive DOM-scraping scripts that slow down your browsing.
• Storage: Required to securely save your local dashboard state, UI preferences, filtered lead pipelines, and OAuth tokens directly within your browser's encrypted local storage (`chrome.storage.local`).
• Downloads: Required so you can easily export your captured and filtered B2B lead lists into native structured desktop formats (JSON, CSV, Excel) straight to your local computer.
• Identity: Required to securely leverage Google's OAuth2 API. This seamlessly handles your Google account authentication to securely sync your structured data to your own designated Google Drive folder.
• Alarms: Required to schedule and reliably trigger automatic, periodic background data syncs to your Google Drive account without degrading main-thread tab performance.

3. Local Processing & Data Sovereignty

All data extraction, processing, and filtering occur locally within your browser. Lead Finder does not send extracted prospect data, email addresses, or phone numbers to our centralized servers for analytics. You retain complete ownership and control over your captured leads at all times.

4. Third-Party Integrations (Google Drive)

If you choose to enable the Google Drive Backup feature, the extension will authenticate using Google's secure OAuth2 protocol. Lead Finder will only request access to create and manage files that it specifically creates within your Google Drive. We cannot see your Google password, nor do we access files outside of the designated Lead Finder folder.

5. Information Sharing and Disclosure

Because we do not collect your personal data or your extracted leads on our servers, we have nothing to sell, rent, or trade with third parties. Your data is your own.

6. Security

We take the security of your local data seriously. Our extension is regularly updated to comply with the latest Chrome Web Store security guidelines to ensure a safe browsing environment.
